TESOL 과정(English Program) / 24units
- 본 과정은 선교사, 현지인, 선교사 자녀, 평신도를 위한 과정이다.
3학기 24학점을 이수하므로 영어교사 Certificate를 취득하여 영어교사로, 선교사들은 영어로 설교와 교육을 할 수 있도록 하고자 하는 목적으로 개설한 프로그램이다. 한국의 유수한 대학교의 영어교수들과 원어민 교수가 강의를 담당한다. 입학은 수시로 가능하며 Online 강의로도 진행한다.
* 특혜-TESOL 이수 자는 본교 학사 과정에는 9학점, 교역학 석사 과정에서는 6학점, 교육학 석사 과정에는 3학점을 인정 받는다.

매 학기 8학점
- TESOL CERTIFICATE과정의 목적은 영어에 자신감을 갖는 교사가 되는 것이다. 따라서 3학기 동안 계속해서 영어공부를 하여야 한다.
- 이 프로그램을 수료하면 VINE UNIVERSITY TESOL INSTITUTE에서 교사자격증을 수여한다.

TEACHING ENGLISH FOR SPEAKERS OF OTHER LANGUAGES (TESOL)
영어를 모국어로 사용하지 않는 외국인 학생을 위한 영어교사 자격증
* 이 과정은 미국 이외의 장소에서 영어를 모국어로 사용하지 않는 외국인 학생들에게 영어를 가르치기를 원하는 교사들에게 영어교사 자격증을 주기 위하여 과정이다. 이 과정에서 공부하기를 원하는 교사 후보생들은 TOEFL이나 TOEIC, IELT 성적을 통하여 영어실력을 인증 받거나 VINE대학교 TESOL 교육센터(펴샤)에서 시행하는 Communicative English 1, 2, 3을 1년 6개월 동안 공부하여 Pass grade를 받음으로서 영어교사 자격증을 취득한다.
* 이 과정은 자신의 국가에서 기본적인 영어능력을 학습하려는 외국인 학생들에게 영어를 가르치려는 기회를 가지려는 교사 후보생들이 실제 교실에서 활용할 수 있는 이론적이고 실제적인 교수법을 제공한다.
* 이 과정을 가르치는 교수들은 오랫동안의 교수경험과 다양한 연구 경험과 다문화간의 의사소통을 경험한 분들이어야 한다. 이 과정의 학생들은 다양한 교육경험을 가진 사람으로서 실제 교육현장에 폭넓은 실제적 경험을 제공할 것을 기대한다.
* 교육과정은 매 학기 8학점을 공부하는 것을 원칙으로 하지만 사정에 의하여 파트타임으로 공부할 수도 있고 청강생으로 공부할 수도 있다.

The First Semester
TESL 501 STRUCTURE OF ENGLISH FOR ESOL (3su)
Overview of traditional English grammar on the basis of sense group grammar and comparison of applied linguistics research on second language acquisition and the implications for the classroom.
TESL 502 Intercultural Communication for Teaching ESOL (3su)
Cross-cultural communication study between English culture and target culture on the basis of contrastive analysis for language teaching.
TESL 502 TEACHING SPEAKING AND LISTENING (3su)
Overview of teaching methods and techniques in the practical class for speaking and listening on the basis of sense group grammar.
TESL 503 TEACHING READING AND WRITING (3su)
Overview of teaching methods and techniques in the practical classroom for reading and writing for ESL on the basis of ‘sense group grammar’.
The Second Semester
TESL 504 Theory and Practice of Teaching ESOL (3su)
Introduces students to techniques and practical methods for teching ESL. Includes curriculum development, classroom observations, and hands-on experience.
TESL 506 Language Assessment (3su)
Overview of language assessment tools as applied to ESL evaluation. Students will be given practical experience in the application of various language testing tools.
The Third Semester
TESL 507 Curriculum and Materials Development (3su)
Examination of curriculum development and its relationship to materials to accommodate various learning styles.
TESL 508 Technology for ESL Teaching and Learning (3su)
This course provides opportunity to use and develop skills for supporting ESL teaching in the classroom by use of modern technology available in the field and it expands the students’ use of current technology as it relates to teaching.
TESL 510 Teaching Practicum (3su)
Observation and practical ESL teaching in the real classroom situations.
